Glendale, December 24, 2005—In a letter dated Dec. 20, Joseph
McCloskey, director of Office of Single Family Asset Management at U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development, thanked Right Home
President Paul Yalnezian for “working with the Federal government in
making the real estate industry much more consumer-friendly.”
“HUD
applauds the efforts you have made to make the home buying experience
much easier, rid the industry of fraud and deceit, and regain the
confidence of the American consumer," said
McCloskey in his letter.

McCloskey calls attention to the Department's various programs that
educate consumers in being better shoppers in the home buying process,
regulations that outlaw kickbacks that increase the cost of settlement
to potential homebuyers, and monitoring programs that identify and cite
violators of these program regulations.
